A small but technically involved rear infill extension and flat upgrade in Pimlico, delivered with scaffold access, notifiable health and safety arrangements, Building Control fire-safety upgrades, two bespoke double-glazed sash windows, new carpet, full repainting and a professional sparkle clean. The project was managed by BPM, with Cahill Bespoke Construction delivering the build works on site.
The client wanted to create useful additional space to the rear of the flat while improving the quality and finish of the existing accommodation. The job was compact in footprint, but the scope touched almost every part of the building process: structure, access, external envelope, joinery, electrics, heating, plastering, decoration and final handover.
The challenge was not simply the size of the extension. It was the sequencing. Small London projects can be deceptively complex, especially where scaffold access, neighbouring buildings, existing brickwork and finished interiors all need to be managed at the same time.
Cahill Bespoke Construction work with clients, project managers, architects, engineers and cost consultants. We are comfortable with awkward access, existing buildings, Building Control requirements, trade coordination and the level of finish needed for a professional handover.
